LPIC-101 Background Info Top of Page

This class is an entry level Linux course. In this course we will explore many in depth aspects of System Administration applied to an operable Linux system. The course will be primarily focused on extensive use of the command line with the rich set of tools provided in a native Linux environment. This course has no pre-requisites. Prospective students who have no previous Linux experience are welcome.

Registration for the course includes the book used in class. Students who have paid for the course will recieve the book on the first night of class. The book contains an abundance of material and hands-on labs. Practice exam questions in an interactive format are available as well.

Reasonable Expectations Top of Page

The framework of this course is structured such that students will be exposed to material that is outlined in the Linux Professional Institute objectives for the LPIC 101 exam. Upon successful completion of the course, the student should either be prepared for the exam, or know which areas that need to be strengthened in order to take the exam.
